I found the nick "kasmra" in a fabulous book "Salomo ja Ursula", written by a Finnish author Juhani Peltonen. Why it stuck with me? I can not tell exactly. I think I found the character amusing in some ways. In the book Tuomas Kasmra was always missing, people heard weird stories about him, even his existence was very much under debate.
I was born in 1975. My hobbies include music (listening/making), reading, geeky stuff (Debian, FOSS, Vim etc.), stenography, Esperanto, [programming] languages in general, films, absurdism and so on.
I have been playing bass (drums and guitar as well but in a much lesser amount) for about twenty years. The bands are too many to mention but a few of the groups/projects can be heard at Mikseri.net. At your own risk, of course. An attempt to analise (sic) the discography of one of the bands I play in (Sydänten Särkijät) can eventually be found here. Also, for amusement you can check out the results of my participation in Muusikoiden.net tongue-in-cheek "bass line competitions".
I have done some coding for an Open Source Maemo application called Irreco. But most of the time I just do a little shell scripting to automate tasks on my desktop. And perhaps dream of learning LISP some day ;)
The purpose of this site is really not clear to me. Maybe if just for dabbling with HTML a while... Anyhow, the CSS code for this site is shamelessly stolen (and slightly modified) from http://smxi.org. Cheers for that, whoever is responsible for the looks.
